1. Introduction

CostPeek is operated by ByteX Ltd., a company registered in Hungary. By using CostPeek, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Service Description

CostPeek is a competitor price monitoring tool that scrapes publicly available pricing pages, extracts pricing data using AI (Anthropic Claude), and delivers weekly email digests summarizing any changes.

3. Accounts

You create an account by signing in with your email address. We use magic link authentication — no passwords. One account per person or entity. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use CostPeek to scrape pages you don't have the right to access
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or abuse the service
  • Use the service for illegal purposes
  • Resell or redistribute scraped data commercially without permission

5. Plans & Billing

A free plan is available with limited features. Paid plans (Pro and Annual) are billed through Stripe. Current prices are listed on our website. We may change prices with 30 days notice. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds are issued for partial periods.

6. Data & Scraping

CostPeek scrapes publicly available web pages. We do not guarantee the accuracy of scraped data. AI extraction may produce errors. Scraped page content is processed by third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude) for pricing extraction. You are responsible for verifying data before making any business decisions based on it.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

CostPeek is provided “as is”. ByteX Ltd. is not liable for business decisions made based on scraped data, data inaccuracy, service interruptions, or any indirect damages. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the last 12 months.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of CostPeek after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. Any disputes shall be resolved in Hungarian courts.
